Welcome to the
I'm Alex and I run the Creepy Crawlies Show, an educational animal roadshow based in Northumberland and Tyne and Wear. The Creepy Crawlies Show offers children the opportunity to get close to my bugs, minibeasts and exotic pets. During the show I introduce children to several animals such as cockroaches, tarantula spiders, snakes and lizards. I explain a bit about what they are and what they do and even give children a chance to hold the animals. The aim of the show is to give the children a wider understanding of the natural world, and to help prevent phobias developing in later life. It is a fun and interesting way to learn about the environment, habitats, life cycles, adaptations and more and can provide inspiration for art projects and creative writing. I travel to schools, nurseries, kids clubs and parties in the North East of England from Berwick to Durham, from the coast to Kielder including Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, Hexham and Morpeth. I also regularly visit Leicestershire and Lincolnshire with my creepy crawly pets. I am a qualified animal behaviourist, having gained my BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from the University of Central Lancashire in 2004.
